Ayub Nyongesa’s story is a powerful testimony to the impact of collective goodwill.
Born and raised in Webuye, Bungoma County, Ayub attended Mukhuyu FYM Primary School, where he scored an impressive 386 marks, earning a placement at Butula Boys High School.
After losing his father in 2017, Ayub, the fifth-born in a family of eleven, felt that his dream of continuing his education was slipping out of reach. However, a concerned community member brought his situation to light, sparking an inspiring wave of support.
Friends and well-wishers came together in a remarkable show of generosity, ensuring that Ayub was able to report to school on time.
Today, Ayub has successfully completed his secondary education and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to join university.
Sometimes, all it takes is for strangers to step up, stand in the gap, and change a child’s future for the better.
